Saw a bald eagle kill a seagull. I was with the pups at Killarney park. When we arrived the two birds were in the air, the eagle chasing the seagull. At first I thought the eagle was just trying to scare the seagull away. But eventually the eagle grabbed the seagull in its talons and dropped to the ground with it. And proceeded to eat it. It's the first time I've felt sorry for a seagull.

A wonderful day on Burnaby Mountain today. 18 miles. Wrapping up the week with my first 50-mile week of 2020. Happy with that. Still ... so far to go.

I dreamed about you. Nothing I can do about that.

Love running trail at night. Just me. And my headlamp … my Universe is the 10 foot swath it cuts out of the darkness.

So I took the plunge and submitted my DNA to Ancestry.com. Got the results today. It turns out that I’m the direct descendant of a primate that lived 66 million years ago in what is now North Africa. Who knew??!!?? So exciting. This changes everything!!! So glad I overcame my fear of sending my genetic makeup to complete fucking strangers.
