There is a bridge at Hesthavn that crosses Oak Creek. As a stream crossing, the bridge is over-engineered. By a long shot. And leads to just a short loop trail. Paula’s trail. Admittedly, Paula’s trail was supposed to be more than it is now … it isn't. I have always suspected that the bridge is not what it appears to be. I believe it will be built in the future ... not as a spatial bridge connecting the stream banks, but as a temporal one connecting yesterday and tomorrow. I spent several years looking for its control panel without success. Maybe you will have better luck. BTW, there is a bench at the southern extent of Ray’s trail that is great for taking naps when you get tired of looking. If you lay there still enough long enough the deer will come and say hello.
