... once in a while, while you're typing at your computer, using something like a word processor, you mistakenly hit an unintended, unexpected combination of keys ... and suddenly uncover some here-to-fore unknown feature of the software. A feature that is pretty cool. And one that you keep on using after that because it makes your work easier. That accidental set of keystrokes now becomes a standard part of your repertoire. That's kind of how natural selection works.

The Bench

Drive to the Oak Creek parking lot of the McDonald Forest. Take the Homestead Trail, which heads off west past the porta potty. You'll soon come to a bridge. Take the trail left that follows the stream. You'll come to a bench along side the stream. Take a seat.
