Hockey Night in Canada

A fun evening yesterday watching the Canucks play well against the Kings, wining 6 to 2. Thanks Diane! :)

Amik. You came to mind yesterday. A lady named Beaver Woman was on Indians and Aliens. That's all it took.

Linger ~ The Cranberries

Highlights of the Saints vs Vikings in their divisional round yesterday. An epic final play in the last 10 seconds gave the Vikings the win (17:34 in the video). Even better was this fan's reaction to that play. Sorry dude :(

Figure Skating

Marilyn and I went to see some of the Canadian national figure skating championships. Lots of fun. Amazing athletes all. Big congrats to the skaters heading to the Olympics.

This death scene was sadder in the novel. Before he went offline, K-2S0 ran a simulation through his head in which Cassian survived against overwhelming odds, a scenario that made K-2S0 happy
The Main Man with an amazing crew including Gail Ann Dorsey, Mike Garson, Carlos Alomar,  Reeves Gabrels. Wonderful!

Burnaby Mountain

Had a great long run on Burnaby Mountain today. First time running there. It was cold and raining the whole time, but I loved it. Great trails. A lot of good technical stuff, a lot of mud, a lot of climb. Fantastic. It brought back so many wonderful memories of runs and races past. My heart will always be with the McDonald Forest tribe ... big love and hugs.

Lawren

Today Marilyn and I planted our Christmas tree at Byrne Creek. It's a cypress.  We named it Lawren. Not even half a metre high, but one of our best trees ever. Lawren, I hope you live for 1,000 years.

Unable to perceive the shape of you,
I find you all around me.
Your presence fills my eyes with your love,
It humbles my heart,
For you are everywhere.

Time To Say Goodbye

Canto Della Terra

What if I’m wrong, what if I’ve lied
What if I’ve dragged you here to my own dark night
And what if I know, what if I see
There is a crack run right down the front of me

Marilyn and I spent New Years eve Skytraining. Lots of fun. We ended up at the beautiful light show at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam. Great job folks! Loved it. The pictures don't do it justice.
